The Scott Ransom 910 is an enduro bike engineered for the riders who don't back off. Built around a patented 6-bar linkage, a rear shock hidden entirely inside the frame, and 170mm of travel front and rear, the Ransom 910 is purpose-built for consequence terrain — EWS-caliber descents, steep tech, bike park laps, and anywhere the stakes are high and the trail demands commitment. At $7,999, it arrives with carbon wheels, fully wireless SRAM GX Eagle AXS drivetrain, and FOX suspension at both ends. This is not a trail bike that dabbles in enduro. This is an enduro bike, full stop.

The 6-Bar Linkage and the Shock You Can't See

The most consequential thing about the Ransom 910 isn't visible from the outside — and that's exactly the point. Scott's patented 6-bar linkage is the mechanical heart of this bike, and it operates on a fundamentally different architecture than the 4-bar designs found on most competitors. A short link rotates concentric to the bottom bracket to drive the shock, coupled to the chainstays and connected via a second link to a rocker arm at the seatstays. That added complexity isn't for show — it allows Scott's engineers to tune anti-squat and anti-rise values independently, something a simpler 4-bar linkage can't do.

The result is a suspension platform with approximately 25% progressive leverage ratio, anti-squat values just over 100% at sag (in climbing gears), and a low anti-rise figure around 60%. In practice: the rear end stays efficient on climbs without pedal bob, and it remains active under braking — planted through off-camber corners and braking bumps where other bikes skip and deflect.

The rear shock itself is a FOX Float X Nude EVOL — tucked completely inside a cavity in the downtube, protected from trail grime, mud, and water by a push-button access hatch. The "Nude" designation means the lower eye uses bearings instead of a traditional bushing, reducing friction and improving small-bump sensitivity. A TracLoc remote on the handlebar puts three modes at your fingertips: Descend (full 170mm, open damping), Ramp (effectively 130mm via air chamber adjustment, for technical climbs), and Climb (firm lockout). An integrated sag indicator at the bottom bracket link makes initial setup fast and precise. This is one of the most sophisticated rear suspension setups in enduro, and the entire system lives inside the frame where nothing can touch it.

A Spec Sheet Built to Race

The Ransom 910's component spec reflects what serious enduro riding actually demands. Up front, a FOX 38 Performance Elite with Grip2 damping handles 170mm of travel. The Grip2 cartridge provides independent high-speed and low-speed compression and rebound adjustment — the same damper technology that EWS racers run, at a price point that doesn't require a sponsorship. Behind the fork, SRAM GX Eagle AXS handles shifting duties: 12 speeds, fully wireless, direct-mount to a UDH hanger that laughs off rock strikes that would destroy a traditional derailleur hanger. A 10–52T cassette covers everything from fire road sprints to full power climbing.

Brakes are SRAM Code RSC Stealth — four-piston calipers with 200mm HS2 rotors front and rear. The Code RSC is the brake SRAM builds specifically for enduro racing. Modulation is excellent; stopping power is unambiguous.

Where the Ransom 910 genuinely exceeds expectations at its price is the wheel spec: Syncros Revelstoke 2.0 Carbon hoops, 30mm inner width, 28-hole. Carbon wheels at $7,999 is uncommon — most bikes at this price run alloy. These aren't a cost-cut carbon; the Revelstoke is a proper enduro-rated carbon wheel with a wide internal profile for better tire support. Mounted to those wheels: Maxxis Assegai 29×2.5" with EXO+ casing and 3C MaxGrip compound up front, and a Maxxis Dissector 29×2.4" with Double Down casing and 3C Terra compound out back. This is the best-practice enduro tire setup — maximum front grip, managed rear roll resistance.

Geometry, Adjustability, and Mullet Compatibility

The Ransom 910's geometry centers on enduro performance: a 63.8° head angle, 77–78° seat angle, and a 483mm reach on a size large. Two discrete adjustments let you dial the setup to your preference and terrain. Headset flip cups switch the head angle between 63.8° (slack, high-speed confidence) and 65° (steeper, snappier handling). A rear dropout flip chip toggles between a full 29" setup and a mullet configuration — 29" front, 27.5" rear — with a critical engineering note: the suspension kinematics remain identical in both configurations. Switching to mullet doesn't change how the suspension behaves, it changes the geometry and how the bike handles in tight, slow technical terrain.

The BB sits at 350mm height — higher than many enduro bikes — which aids clearance and pedaling confidence on technical climbs. Chainstays are a fixed 440mm across all sizes, keeping the rear end short and responsive regardless of what size frame you're on.

The Syncros Hixon iC integrated carbon bar and stem comes factory-installed — a one-piece unit that saves weight and cleans up the cockpit. Paired with a Syncros Duncan dropper post (180mm travel on medium), the cockpit setup is ready for racing out of the box. A Syncros Matchbox tool kit — spare tube, tire levers, chain tool, multitool — is factory-fitted into the downtube, eliminating the need for a frame bag or pack for everyday trail riding.

The Scott Ransom 910 is the enduro bike for riders who want professional-tier suspension engineering, a race-proven spec, and the confidence to point it at whatever terrain demands your best. It's aggressive, adjustable, and built from the ground up for riders who mean it.

Bathroom shelving decor
Color: Black
This isn't made to hold weight. Mdf and metal. Still, made a statement in my bathroom. For me, it's worth the price. Just remember if you're looking for son to tug on, this isn't for you.

Bathroom shelf
Color: Rustic Brown
Shelf will do the job where you have limited space. I do not like the waal anchors. They will leave a hole in the wall you might be able to crawl through.

Great little product
These are nice. They look really good. Nice metal accents with real wood. These are great. They went together pretty easily too. Anyone could do it. The only complaint I had about these is that I had to predrill the holes because they had not gone deep enough at the factory. They had small dimples where the screws were supposed to go. I had to make them actual holes with my drill. Not too bad though. Other than that they are awesome. You could even lightly sand and paint these to be any color you wanted. The metal brackets would pop right out and could be easily reinstalled after the paint dried. I like them a lot. They might be a bit smaller than I had imagined but they are as advertised. If you line up 3 rolls of TP that’s about exactly how big they are. Hope that helps. Take care.
